How to integrate a film set?
There are several techniques for integrating an actor into a set. The most obvious is to shoot in a natural setting. This is often expensive and restrictive: you have to find the location, move the crew, the weather conditions have to be right, etc. The other solution is to create a virtual set, added either in post-production or directly in production . Let's take the example of a man in his car, with a road passing by as a backdrop.
Filming on a green screen
Green screen, as the name suggests, is a filming environment that is completely green, from floor to ceiling. The actor plays his scene in the middle of nowhere, the decor will be added in post-production , later.
In our example, this gives:

A man in a car on a flatbed

Behind him and the car, only green
-
The actor is filmed in the car against a green background

In post-production, the green screen is removed from the footage shot using editing tools. This results in the actor in his car, without a background.

We add a movie of a road scrolling by as a background

Result: The images of the actor and his car were integrated into a filmed road set added after filming.

In terms of rendering, it works, but it is long and therefore more expensive. And light and shadows are difficult to manage.
The advantages of LED screens as film sets
When you shoot using LED screens, the sets are projected while the actor does his job. You can therefore directly visualize the final rendering of the scenes shot. And for the actor, it is much easier to enter his environment, because he sees it!
We obtain, to take our example:

A man in a car on a flatbed

Behind him and below him, screens on which the scenery of the road passing by is projected.

We film the actor in the car and at the same time the road passing by

We see and get the result immediately

We obtain an optimized quality of immersion on one side by the acting of the actor who can react in relation to his decor (which he sees on the screen return), and on the other side by a reduction of reflections.
LED technology and immersion quality
When using digital sets, we reduce the costs of travel, location scouting, creation of permanent sets, etc. This saving should not be at the expense of production quality; the quality of the incrustation must be optimized so that the presenter or actor becomes one with the set, as if they were really there!
Filming with LED screens has a strong impact on the actor's performance, who can interact with the virtual but visible set, unlike the green screen. Feelings and emotions are there!
